Hydrology of Mountain Watersheds

Some of my most memorable college experiences come from a survey of the Sagehen Creek Watershed in the Tahoe National Forest.  Being on site gave our class hands on experience with surveying, snowpack analysis, stream gauging, geochemistry sampling, and atmospheric monitoring.  We compiled our data and analysis into a comprehensive report.  Our intention was to document the observed patterns of water flow and correlate them to environmental factors.  Since we were all students, much of the data was erratic.  But, I wouldn't mind going back to do it all again (except the part where we dragged an autosampler uphill for miles during a snowfall.  I don't really want to do that again).
